Activities may include taking them for a walk around the farm or through the woods, fostering a bond of mutual respect. Learning how to read their body language, understanding their need for patience, and simply enjoying their affectionate nature aids in our desires to create deep connections. Beyond any activities with the equines, the experience is deeply calming. Spending time in the tranquil setting of a farm, surrounded by gentle animals, acts as a natural stress reliever. Whether you are brushing a donkey named Jonah or leading a miniature horse named Mabel through a miniature agility course, this experience is a perfect blend of learning, laughter, and the simple joy of connecting with animals that have big hearts—despite their small size.

Equine Assisted Learning Session

Experience a tranquil, unmounted Equine Assisted Learning session where you'll connect with horses through gentle groundwork, grooming, and mindfulness exercises. This relaxing, educational, and non-riding experience fosters self-awareness, communication, and emotional resilience by observing and partnering with horses, promoting a profound sense of peace.

  • Arrival and Grounding: Start by entering a peaceful, quiet, and non-judgmental environment, often surrounded by nature, allowing your nervous system to calm down just by being near these large, empathetic animals.

  • Heart-Centered Connections: Learn to read the subtle body language of horses, understanding their communication without words. Activities often involve simply standing with a horse, observing a horse or herd of horses move, noticing your own breathing, and feeling the shift in your emotions as you connect with their peaceful, present state.

  • Mindful Grooming and Care: Engage in grooming, which is both therapeutic for you and relaxing for the horse, building a foundation of trust and respect. You may learn about horse anatomy, and nutrition, understanding their care as a way to cultivate empathy.

  • Creative Groundwork Exercises: Participate in fun, low-stress, ground-based games, such as guiding a horse through a simple obstacle course using connection and clear intention, taking a horse for a walk through the woods or around the farm, both which can help cultivate non-verbal communication, confidence, and leadership and partnership skills.

This experience offers a unique, nurturing space to reduce stress, and learn about yourself through the gentle, honest feedback of a horse.
